Building a large-scale successful application under a hard deadline

It's a challenge for many teams, companies, and open source foundations. How do we build something that works, handles large volumes, and is ready when needed?

What were the best Austin technology events in 2012?

As the year is coming to the close, I'd like to ask the group:
what were your favourite, most enjoyable, and most useful IT and technology-oriented events in 2012?

I am most interested in conferences, workshops, open spaces, user groups events,
but also in job fairs, networking mixers, seminars.

"Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way."

- Leo Tolstoy, Anna Karenina, Chapter 1, first line
Russian mystic & novelist (1828 - 1910)

Successful teams are also alike, while failing teams come in infinite variety.
