Crappiest Job Posting Of the Week 20090616

This is a new variant on the "Low-Ball" job posting series... this one may not be particularly low paying for the kind of low-end job it is, but the job requirements are STUPID! Especially the fact that they want people who are Über loyal for what is essentially a DEAD END temp job! Look, if y'all want loyalty, maybe you shouldn't treat your workers like crap. And the recruiter should be spanked for the horrible grammar and misspellings. Shame on them, shame...

I looked this up... so wrong
I looked this up... so wrong for so many reasons. I have to say I really can't believe this is real, must be some kind of scam. Not even a legit company e-mail address. Whoa.
I really hope you are right
I really hope you are right that this is just a scam. Well, as long as nobody falls for it...
A little checking shows that
A little checking shows that the phone numbers listed in the ad are legit and belong to the company. You are right that the email account is at least a little fishy, and there is no job posting currently on their web site that matches the job description in the ad. Neither of those things are definitive though, because a lot of people at local offices of agencies use DSL/small business email services like that and they are often slow to update the listings on their web sites...

There is a ProTech Staffing
There is a ProTech Staffing in Austin. They have a domain email, not SBC and are national. Even though the phone numbers are legit, I must agree with Sunni on this one.
It's not even remotely feasible this came from an outfit like ProTech. Not real; just wrong... just another Craigslist excretion.
This kind of thing should be reported to Craigslist, not touted as a legitimate posting.

FWIW, I did flag it on CL,
FWIW, I did flag it on CL, as well as tried to contact ProTech by email (through their web site contact links) to let them know about the posting so they could have it removed if it was illegitimate or fix it if it was. The job is still posted though.
FWIW, the email thing isn't definitive. I know a lot of recruiters who work for regional or national agencies that have "official" email addresses that use free accounts like yahoo, hotjobs, etc., or their home internet (Time Warner or AT&T) email addresses for professional purposes.
Not to say that I hope that y'all aren't right -- but if it wasn't, I would have thought the posting would have gotten flagged off by now. Not to mention that someone paid $25 to post it, unless they gave CL a scammed CC or something.
