Microsoft Courier Heats up Tablet Sector via PC World blog Today @ PC World
Yep, that's sweet. Microsoft is indeed upping the ante in tablets.
There's a fairly good chance that Microsoft is blowing smoke up Gizmodo's skirt with this one. It may be really cool vaporware. Still, I like the concept better than more typical tablets. If Apple's vaporware comes to fruition before Microsoft's vaporware, and it's anything like the overgrown iPhone we've been hearing about, MS may actually have a chance to really outshine Apple in this market, if they just don't drop the ball, and if the OS is worthy of such a device. We'll see.

Skepticizing
As long as the Courier (real or not) doesn't open with a Windows start-up sound, I'll be happy.
Kidding aside, strangely Apple seems to be getting bad press lately, while Microsoft's Windows 7 is highly anticipated in the market. Now's as good a time as any for Microsoft to ride that wave with some other innovative products.
It is rather odd.
For so long Apple has had superior products, though rather high in price, while Microsoft has bungled so much. Yet here we are with Apple seeming to trip over itself while Microsoft appears to be getting at least its OS business in the best order it's been in since at least XP. And now MS seems to even be winning the latest vaporware battle.
Can peace in the Middle East be far behind?
