The Future - Your Future?

Hello - Since the New Year is just around the corner - how would you respond to this statement by Peter Drucker? A colleague of mine sent it to me. For me I would have never thought I would be in Central Texas seeking my next career move! LOL
But I am and newly married to boot. LOL

Druckerisms are usually
Druckerisms are usually truisms (as is the one cited). I like Norwich Terriers third best after Westies and Jack Russells (I like Cairns too, but not as much as Norwich Terriers).
Plus ça change, plus
Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.
I love Peter Drucker as he
I love Peter Drucker as he was a master of observing and stating the obvious (which incredibly no one else could see).
Drucker taught valuable
Drucker taught valuable lessons about management, strategy and entrepreneurship to people who never viewed management as a science. So in the times he was teaching and writing, I'm not so certain that these things were obvious.
However, you are correct...he saw things (and relationships) that others could not see. As I have written and presented (multiple times actually in my discussions and lectures on strategy), "some people can think outside of the box while others can think outside of boxes that others do not see."
One of the high spots of 2009 for me was when I met and spoke at length with someone who studied with Peter Drucker at Claremont Graduate University. It was an incredible experience to listen to and get feedback from this gentleman who had studied with the man most of whose many books I've read.
I appreciate your comments.
I appreciate your comments. It was enjoyable to read!
All the best for 2010.
