vicious circle

Great presentation on how to make powerful PowerPoint presentations (pun intended) Death by PowerPoint
by Alexei Kapterev.
Some slides are relevant in more contexts than one.
Like this one, depicting a vicious circle.

I saw this a few weeks ago.
I saw this a few weeks ago. In concept, I agree that there are alot of people out there who have no idea of how to do a presentation, or to construct an effective powerpoint slide set. It is a skill, just like public speaking. The worst thing that I've seen people do is to read ad nauseum the precious words that they've written on their slides. That shows two things: 1) they are so insecure that they need the crutch of being able to read what they intend to present and 2) they don't really know their material. Not everyone has the communication skills to present in public (or even in a small meeting room) and still fewer actually enjoy presenting. Isay this from personal experience. Maybe 35 years ago, I would lose sleep (and my lunch) before a presentation (but this was before computers). Now, by the time I've completed my meeting slides, I know how I'm going to present what I'm going to say.
Anyone interested can access a copy of my slides from a recent meeting (without any of the animation or slide transitions) from my LinkedIn profile.
