Austin's live music
Got to see live performance of Jitterbug Vipers, Marc Devine, Jabo & Them Ole' Dawgs and Giant City - all in 48 hours. Unfortunately, did not make it to see Seth Walker.
This was one memorable weekend. Austin's the best place on Earth!

If the damned weenies on the city council would grow a pair and tell all the whiners who are stupid enough to want to live downtown or near another music venue and then complain about the noise or parking issues to go take a hike, it wouldn't have to be that way. Instead they've been encouraging residential development downtown which is part of what is killing the music scene. The other problem is they are gentrifying downtown to the point the clubs can't afford the rent down there anymore. Why do the voters keep electing dumb***es who are hell bent on killing the golden goose? I'm not inside the Austin city limits, so unfortunately I have no say on it when I get my ballot.
Why do the voters elect
Why do the voters elect dumbasses? Mostly because of the fact that we have an ignorant and largely illiterate voting public. Of course, that it just my opinion and is not meant to be reflection on anyone in particluar, especially since I'm new to Texas and haven't gotten around. But if you were to look at the recent Congressional elections (it hurts my eyes)...
