Would anyone be willing to explain to a non technical person about Hitachi Storage Systems?

OK so I am going to admit the obvious. I am a Technical Recruiter and I have been doing research on Hitachi Storage Systems because a client I am working with needs some help later this year in this speciality. I don't like to recruit unless I totally understand actually what I am recruiting for....yes even though I am not a technical person!! I think it is really important for me to effectively do my job!! Sooo...if you there are any Hitachi experts out there, would you please help me!! I would love to connect and have a conversation about Hitachi!!
Thanks in advance!!

What "specialty" are you
What "specialty" are you talking about?
It sounds like you are looking too narrow for skill sets which may make finding a suitable candidate a lot more difficult than it needs to be, and may artificially exclude some people who might be good choices even though they might not have "Hitachi" on their resume. Anyone who is an enterprise systems administrator should be able to handle the care and feeding of storage devices made by Hitachi or any of their competitors (EMC, NetApp, etc). All of these SAN/NAS devices are fairly similar, and learning the specifics of a given product line shouldn't take too much effort for anyone who has a solid grounding in the basics.
Also I would suspect your client probably needs more than just someone who knows how to set up and administer the storage devices, they probably need to know something about the platforms that will be using those devices (Linux, Windows, proprietary UNIXes, etc), and probably the applications as well (Oracle, DB2, etc).
Basically what I am saying is that I think you may need to get some more information from your client before you can know how to ask the right questions.
Perhaps we ought to ask
Perhaps we ought to ask first: What type of jobs are you recruiting for? Just general areas, if you can't be specific. That would give us some indication if something "Hitachi-specific" would be required, or if the skills may be generally available as softwarejanitor above mentioned.
