New Green Product Technology: Liquid Wood?? Whaaaat?

An article in Deutsche Welle describes a 'plastic-like' material called Liquid Wood. It's made from leftover wood components easily separated, but not used for paper. The newly designed separation process is now cleaner and more efficient, allowing the material to be a realistic green alternative for oil-derived plastics.
The resulting liquid wood can be injection molded, and recycled. The final product can resemble highly polished wood or have a more matted finish; it looks like the plastic used in most household items.
