“There’s No Place Like Home” is an upcoming fundraising event in Austin, TX, benefiting the children of the Giocosa Foundation. Open to the public, the event will be held May 16, 2009 at the East Austin YMCA (5315 Ed Bluestein / Hwy. 183), from 9am to 5pm.
Anyone having computer (desktop or laptop) related issues is encouraged to bring their computer to the event, where technicians will troubleshoot and (whenever possible) fix the issue, perform tune-ups and routine maintenance functions, and check for viruses.
All services are free, but donations are highly encouraged and gladly accepted. 100% of funds raised will benefit directly the kids managed/sponsored by the Giocosa Foundation, a local, licensed non-profit organization specializing in foster child adoption, placement and case management.
About the repair service:
Repair sessions are performed on a first-come, first-served basis and are expected to last between 15 and 30 minutes. Appointments are not necessary. Please bring (if available) the original software and OS installation disks. Monitors, keyboards, power cords and mice will be available, so all you have to bring is the computer.
In addition, technicians will teach OS (Windows and Mac) tune-up and maintenance classes throughout the day. For a schedule of classes, please visit the website at www.giocosa.com/computerrepair.
About The Giocosa Foundation:

Need to get an old PC or MAC looked at? We will have professional techs from that quaint computer company in Round Rock available to troubleshoot your slow or non-working systems.
We will also have some limited entertainment and food vendors available while the kids wait.
All for a donation to the Giocosa Foundation, a foster placing agency here is Austin.
Please come out and pass the word. It's all for the kids, 100% of funds raised go to the kids.
Thanks,
Charles Craft
