Intro to Web Development Class (4 weeks, every Wed.)
Learn HTML, CSS and Javascript
This class will cover basic web page design using the Hyper-Text Markup Language (HTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). We'll also cover how to create simple, yet elegant web page designs and how to manage many pages across a single web site. Students should be proficient in general computer usage, and have an understanding of basic Internet concepts. This class will be part lecture and part hands-on exercises.
This class is designed to give you the specific skills to begin a new career in the web and software industry. We will be discussing industry practices and standards. There will be tons of resource available also.
Topics covered: XHTML/DHTML/HTML, CSS, Javascript, Javascript Libraries, PHP, XML, Photoshop, Image Optimization
