"Career Transitions" - Part II
Texas Exes Austin Professionals present the second half of the Career Transitions event in the form of a round table discussion for alumni in many arenas of the job search or transition. You will have the opportunity to participate in two different round table discussions during the event.
Topics will include:
Advanced Job Search - "Networking"
Advanced Job Search - "Strategizing/Target Search" for
Executive/Senior Level - "A Different Type of Approach"
Executive/Senior Level - "Networking for Top Guns"
Job Search for Beginning Job Seekers - "Resumes & Skills"
Job Search for Beginning Job Seekers - "Interviewing & Values"
Career Transition & Currently Employed - "Moving Within the Organization"
Career Transition & Currently Employed - "Deciding When It's Time to Leave"
Work for Yourself/Entrepreneurial - "Things to Know in Getting Started"
Work for Yourself/Entrepreneurial - "Important Things to Consider"
When registering, please note which TWO topics are most interesting to you in the box "note to event organizer."
Event Details:
There will be drinks (cash bar) and appetizers for attendees at the event.
Parking
Note that parking on campus after hours has changed. There will be free parking in Texas Exes garage while it lasts. After alumni center garage is full, parking for a fee is available at the San Jacinto, Manor, Trinity, and Brazos parking garages. Check the UT map for garage locations. Check visitor parking and rates.
Guests
If you are bringing a guest, make sure to TYPE YOUR GUEST'S NAME BELOW in the "note to event organizer", so we can have a nametag prepared for them.
Event Prices
The event is $15 for members and $25 for non-members who register by Wednesday, January 20, 2010. The event will be $20 for members and $30 for non-members who register on or after Thursday, January 21, 2010, including event walk-ins.
