door64 Austin Meet-up
This informal door64 meet-up is open to any door64 member interested in meeting other members and improving the door64 community. Come on out to network and have a good time in a relaxed, fun, and social atmosphere.
Location:
Triumph Cafe (http://www.triumphcafe.com/) -- Back outdoor patio (or inside per weather)
3808 Spicewood Springs
Austin, TX 78759
(Coffee/tea available, and lunch for those who want to hang around afterwards. On you, of course.)
Reason:
First, I would be excited to meet you (especially if we haven't met already). It's rather difficult to track down 7000+ people, you know. Both existing and brand new door64 members are most welcome to attend!
Secondly, I constantly aim to take the door64 community in a direction that best serves our members. I would much rather brainstorm with friends about how to achieve this, and these meet-ups can also serve that purpose.
How to RSVP:
Comment below if you can attend, AND while you're doing so, tell other attendees a little about you, or what you're looking for. (Thanks to Becky for the suggestion!)
BY THE WAY: To unsubscribe from just this post (so you don't get notified every time someone else RSVPs), click the Unsubscribe post link below after leaving your RSVP comment.
What to bring: Bring business cards, a pen/pencil (for writing notes on the back of business cards), and a self-made name tag if you've got one!
Tech Ranch Austin Tour
Attendees are welcome to swing over to the nearby Tech Ranch Austin start-up accelerator. Learn about their work with local start-ups, and how door64 and Tech Ranch are collaborating. They are located just off 183. The tour starts at 12:45pm. Here's the address (print a map, if you need to):
Tech Ranch Austin, 2311 W. Rundberg Lane, Suite 200, Austin, TX 78758 [Map] -- Make sure to print out the map so you'll know how to get there!

Greetings, this is my first
Greetings, this is my first door64 event. I am new to the Austin area (40 years in Dallas) but trying to learn my way around quickly. I spent the better part of the last two years developing technology to assist the Professional Association and Non-profit industry in the management of data across multiple/dissimilar platforms. I am looking for venture/state/angel money and thinking about getting a cup and guitar on the street to raise capital to get this company moving.

Hi - looking forward to
Hi - looking forward to attending the March 24 mixer at Triumph. I'm a full-time CNS (computer networking) instructor at ITT Tech - teaching: Structured Cabling, XP, Business Data Communications, Contruction Management Data Communications, Strategies for the Technical Professional, MSO2007, et.at., and have just been given the responsibility for the Mentor's Club.
My education includes: MS in Intructional Technology, BFA in Communication Arts and AAS in Broadcast Telecommunications - as you can gather I probably talk a lot.
I moved to TX from NYC in 2006.
Looking forward to meeting everyone.
