Several of Austin’s technology sectors such as semi-conductors, energy, wireless communications, and medical devices depend on nano technology and the acceptance of Nanotechnology in the market. However, the possibility of toxicity related events is constraining the move to such emerging technologies. Having nanoTox’s capabilities reside locally will be an asset for Austin in the future.
