In November 2009, Logitech announced its intentions to acquire Lifesize Communications for $405 million. This was the biggest startup story in Austin in 2009. LifeSize Communications is a world leader in high definition video communications and telepresence. Founded by industry veterans in 2003, LifeSize pioneered high definition video communications to make communicating at a distance as natural and effective as being in the same room, for anyone, anywhere.

TiE-Austin is proud to bring together, for the first time, the founder and the investors that were part of this huge Austin success story.

Craig Malloy, Founder and CEO of Lifesize Communications will spearhead a panel session that includes Venu Shamapant, General Partner, LiveOak Ventures (Former General Partner, Austin Ventures), and Vab Goel, General Partner, Norwest Venture Partners.

The panel will be moderated by Professor Jim Nolen, Distinguished Senior Lecturer, who anchors the Finance curriculum at the McCombs School of Business. University of Texas at Austin.
