Are you a UX, IA, UI, IxD, usability, visual or other sort of designer? Come out for a design practice workshop on March 29th, from 7–9pm at Genuine Joe Coffeehouse (it’s on Anderson Lane up the road from the Alamo Drafthouse Village).

Inspired by a conversation with Aza Raskin during SXSW 2010, we’ll be exploring metrics for comparing the efficiency of your designs.

We'll go through some examples, sketch out solutions, and then measure them to find the (more) optimal ones. Do you have a web site, Windows application or iPhone application you’d like measured? Contact me!

Come a little early to get settled and get some coffee or a snack so we can start on time. When you arrive, tell the barista you’re with the design workshop. We’ll be in the large, private room (“The Cellar”) immediately to your right as you enter the shop. I’ll be there around 6:30pm to set up if you’d like to introduce yourself or discuss the meeting itself. Paper, markers and other materials will be provided.
