August Austin Lean Startup Meetup - Building and Scaling Problem/Solution Teams
This month at the Austin Lean Startup Circle, the intersection of Lean Startup and Lean Software Development is examined in a facilitated discussion with Austin's Lean Startup and Lean Software communities. The discussion will be facilitated by Ash Murya, entrepreneur and founder of WiredReach, and founder and organizer of the Austin Lean Startup Circle, and Scott Bellware, founder of Lean web consultancy Ampersand GT, and founder and organizer of Lean Software Austin.
This discussion should be of particular interest to anyone engaged in starting or sustaining a product development initiative, including those starting or working with agile methods (and possibly looking into looking into next steps, post-agile), those interested in the Lean Startup and Lean Software Development methods, and entrepreneurs, starters, and change agents of all kinds, from fortune 500 to web startups.
We'll be looking into how Lean Startup and Lean Software Development compliment and support each other, and how they are part of a greater whole, how to avoid the mistake of creating methodology silos in an effort benefiting from both methodology perspectives, and how teams are created and grown to support product development.

We'll start with a quick discussion around documenting initial hypotheses. I'll share some specific tools I've used and look forward to hearing what's worked for others.
Then Scott Bellware and I will help facilitate a discussion around creating the right team structure for a lean startup and pose some questions to the group on how you scale beyond the founding team.
