Title: Memory and Memory Related Technology Trends at the June 2012 VLSI Symposium
Abstract: This talk will overview the trends revealed in the 60+ papers in 10 Sessions that were on memory and memory related technologies at the recent VLSI Technology & Circuits Symposiums. This included two sessions on 3D NAND Flash, scaled ferroelectric memory, vertical/improved phase change memories, sub-20 nm MRAM and spintronics memory/logic devices, two sessions of RRAMs, 3-D TSV integration, 3D integration technology/TSV and embedded DRAM/SRAM/TCAM
Biography: Betty Prince is CEO of Memory Strategies International, a technical service company providing technical market reports and technical seminars to the semiconductor memory research community in the newest areas of MOS memory product, technology, and applications. The company was founded in 1993 and is located in Leander, Texas. Dr. Prince previously worked with Texas Instruments, N.V. Philips and Motorola in memory technology and marketing management, at R.C.A. in the development of an early microprocessor and at Fairchild in semiconductor process technology. She has had four books on memory technology published and has been active in the IEEE where until recently she was a Distinguished Lecturer for the Solid State Circuits Society.
Location: ENS 314 (UT Campus Engineering Science Bldg.)
