Technology Behind the IMAX Theatre

We will also enjoy a tour of the technology behind the IMAX Theatre, at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum. The tour will be followed by a casual reception with light appetizers and drinks.
IMAX Technology puts you in the picture like no other motion picture format can. With the largest film frame in the industry -- 10 times the size of conventional 35mm film -- IMAX Technology captures breathtaking images of unsurpassed size and impact. These images are projected onto an immense six-story high screen and accompanied by six-channel wraparound IMAX Digital Sound from 44 speakers to allow audience members to take part in a unique, totally involving film experience.
