Giving kudos where they are deserved...

I was under consideration for a software engineering position recently, and after what I thought was a very positive phone interview I didn't hear anything for a few days. However, in what is an unfortunately rare courtesy today, the recruiter, Brooke Anderson, who is a member here got back to me to let me know that the employer has frozen hiring for the position for the time being (painfully common these days). It is nice to not just be left hanging which seems to happen too frequently anymore I think just because recruiters are so busy trying to make ends meet they just don't have time. So this is a shout out to someone who is treating candidates right...

Anyone else who has had a positive recruiting experience lately (even if it didn't necessarily result in getting hired), I'd love to hear about it and I bet others would too...

Good job. I know Brooke

Good job. I know Brooke personally - she's an excellent recruiter, and does desire to make sure her candidates are taken care of. Thanks for the props (on her behalf).

There are several Austin

There are several Austin area recruiters in the "personally recommended" category not only because they treat candidates with respect but also for their client relationships and reach into the market. Personally "ditto" the experience above (and more) for these great people; kudos indeed.

In no particular order...
