Twitter Technology
I took a cue from Matt and checked out Twitter. I often have customers asking me to let them know when particular courses are guaranteed to run. Or, sometimes, someone gets disappointed that they missed a free seminar they wish they knew about. So, I now have my own profile called 'Get Trained' that I use to post new offerings (like some awesome Sharepoint courses coming up), free seminars, guaranteed to run classes, reminders and a photo or two of the self proclaimed, 'Geek Squad'. (if you were at InnoTech, you probably ran into a few). I believe were in a market where honing in on your technical skills can be crucial to holding onto a current position or maybe securing the next. If you have an interest in taking a technology, project management, business analysis or ITIL course in the upcoming year, I invite you to follow me to..Get Trained and Get Ahead. http://twitter.com/gettrained.

I, too, have looked into Twitter since the Tweetup the other day. Actually, I've learned enough to believe that subject to a program being approved that I want to look into very real security applications for it.

Here's a video that talks about Twitter, and what it's all about. Great explanation, at least in terms of person-to-person communication:

Teri, I'm glad to hear you all are using it too!

Our chat led me to thinking
Our chat led me to thinking about implementation of Web 2.0 applications in non-social media ways. But I have a few questions of terminology:
- if your event the other night was a Tweet-up...and
- if messages sent by Twitter are referred to as Tweets...does it follow that...
- the people who send Tweets via Twitter are Twits???
All in fun.
... or nit-twits?

I'd prefer Net-twits
I'd prefer Net-twits actually.

And thus, the Tweetup the other night might have been also referred to as a "Twittery." Then, too, is a gathering of Twitterers who send many Tweets, also a "gaggle of Twits?"
