Has anyone here in the

Has anyone here in the Door64 been to a Mobile Monday meeting before? This was the first I've been to but it was really great information. The only issue is they are meeting in small spaces so registration (required because of the small space) fills up fast. Seems like a candidate for Door64 to partner with?

I guess this will likely mark my first blog here, and I still also need to post stuff from the Game Jam. I'm probably also going to be going to some SXSW events, maybe I will blog them too. It's just a balance of time, as right now I am working on a 5-game pitch document (for iPhone titles). :D

iPhone is hottish. Marc

iPhone is hottish. Marc Andreesen's comments in the Charlie Rose interview regarding iPhone and iPhone development are good and worth a listen -- or a read if you prefer the transcript.

The section covering iPhone is in the middle of the second page of the transcript.

Good reading... or listening.

Sorry I haven't gotten my

Sorry I haven't gotten my notes typed up yet. I wanted to post again though because I just got an iPod Touch and this IS where a LOT of the innovation is going. I had been starting to worry because things seemed to be stagnating a bit creatively in the game industry. But a new batch of titles are coming on the PC that look great, and the iPod Touch/iPhone is showcasing great titles even from EA (which till recently hasn't exactly been a bastion of creativity).

I say, go Apple, return to your gaming glory of the Apple 2 days... I think it can be done, there are a lot more games coming to the Mac now, and the iPhone market is exploding!

Last but not least, Apple's policies with iPhone development have sparked a debate about Nintendo's requirements that developers must have an office (a lot of iPhone developers develop from home). People are wanting to set up a petition to get this requirement taken down.

Any thoughts?
Michael
