SOC Implementation Engineer

Altera is looking to build up a brand new design team in Austin. This in an opportunity to join one of the most successful companies in the semiconductor industry at the very beginning of the development of a new product line
As a SoC Implementation Engineer, you will be responsible for the synthesis, place & route and timing closure of Processor subsystem designs for next-generation programmable platforms. Tasks will also include working with Front End design and Integration teams to create SoC floorplans and driving analysis of power consumption.
The successful candidate's minimum qualifications will include the following:
· Experience with implementation of processors and complex SoC’s
· Extensive experience with large SOC development, including creating project infrastructure building on industry best practices
· In depth, hands on experience using industry standard EDA tools, such as Magma Talus, Synopsys ICC or Cadence Encounter
· Self-starters and experience in small team/company environments
