Sr Lead Developer- Ruby
Our client is one of the fastest growing start-ups in Austin and are growing to meet demand. We are looking for a Sr Software Engineer to help lead the team. They are currently a Ruby shop, however the person we are looking for has to have a passion for learning new technologies and expanding their technical capacity. This person will also be mentoring a team of junior developers, and this role includes a competitive salary as well as equity. Current Project:- currently migrating to Rails 3.1. - Facilitate safer migrations and easier console queries using forked AR-Octopus- Using Redis-Store & Resque to implement a caching & queuing layer- Created a Rails app to provision new EC2 instances with Chef- Modify Rails' database rake tasks to integrate sharding and foreign keys using Foreigner with RSpec & Steak
Requirements
- 1 year of minimum programming experience using Ruby and Rails
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up like environment
- Passion for learning new technologies
