Web Application Developer
Our client is looking for a Web Application Developer to join their software engineering team. They will be responsible for implementing features for a new platform architecture. The candidate would need to be comfortable being a part of an Agile development team producing working features and demoing every two weeks; working primarily on the front-end, user-facing components.
Requirements:
?3+ years of software development experience
?6+ months of experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails
?Familiarity with RDBMS (Postgres or MySQL)
?Experience with jQuery, jQuery-UI and JS charting packages
?A daily working knowledge of Git and GitHub
?Comfortable using Capistrano in a multi-stage environment
?1 year of CSS, JavaScript and an eye for detail
?Proficient with HTML, JavaScript, SQL, Linux, OOP, and Ruby/Ruby on Rails best practices.
Preferences:
?Experience working with large data-sets (tens of millions of records), generating interactive graphs, consuming web services, and UX best practices.
?Concepts of OLAP or business intelligence design patterns
