Solutions Architect
The Solutions Architect will implement with design and guidance from Solutions Business Manager integration solutions built using Pervasive Integration tools. The solutions will be delivered via the Pervasive High Availability Integration Platform (PHAIP) and the Pervasive DataCloud. An individual with entrepreneurial spirit, positive attitude, and ability to adapt to rapidly changing requirements is required. Being able to create a proof of concept from a high level idea then polishing to deliver a high quality product is a must. The Solutions Architect should always be thinking on behalf of the end user to make their experience with Pervasive Solutions gratifyingly simple.
This position will work with the small team consisting of Solutions Architect, the Solutions Business Manager and Sales Operations to bring new solutions to market and improve upon existing ones. Will also work with the cloud team to deploy solutions and navigate windfalls when they occur. Support will be occasionally required to better understand problems the end user faces and help gain expertise on how to make a simpler experience.
Candidate should be able to learn a new language to proficiency in roughly three months’ time, be able to comprehend other's code and improve upon it. Proficiency in Java and awareness of web security is strongly desired. Experience with Salesforce CRM and/or QuickBooks SDK would be nice. Lastly, should be familiar with web services such as REST and SOAP, should be able to construct requests and parse responses in XML or JSON. Knowledge of SVN is a plus.
Required Experience and Education:
• Interpreting business requirements, functional specifications, and implement integration solutions
• Test in QE environment any changes of existing solutions as well as new offerings prior to promoting to production
• Work from issue list to resolve outstanding issue in existing integration offerings
• Testing software designs and solutions (including debugging and troubleshooting) and preparing environment migration documentation
• Providing periodic updates on project or task status
