Network Operations Engineer
• Create and manage the Network Operations process
• Setup, maintain and administer servers, network switches, load balancers, firewalls, and data storage systems
• Work directly with software engineers to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
• Monitor system metrics and establish baseline SLA levels
• Ensure that incidents are investigated, diagnosed, and resolved quickly
• Work with engineering to break down high-level goals into tasks and timelines
• Identify and propose creative solutions for more efficient systems and processes. Offer recommendations and reviews
• Current and advanced knowledge of network routing, switches, load balancing, Windows Server 2008 R2, IIS, SQL Server 2008 R2, Storage Area Network, distributed memory object caching and Linux systems
• 4+ years combined industry experience in network, server, and system operations
• Hands-on technical experience with system installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance
• Extensive experience in networking technologies
• Expertise in Windows Server and Active Directory services
• Solid time estimation and reporting skills, and the ability to react to functionality changes
• Experience with operation monitoring tools and SLA metrics
• Superior communication and organization skills, flexibility and the proven ability to explain technical information
• Up to date knowledge of Internet technologies and capabilities
• Degree in IT/Engineering (or equivalent) preferred, an advanced degree is even better
• Microsoft and/or Cisco certifications a plus
