Junior Data Engineer
The ideal candidate will be focused on all aspects of the ETL process, including developing novel applications of our client’s “cloud computing” infrastructure. You will be working with unstructured and semi-structured data, helping transform it into clean and meaningful data warehouses for new business applications.
Responsibilities:
• Write and manage tools used to process large amounts of data
• Look for innovative solutions to clean public and unstructured information
• Develop and implement technical designs
• Drive test and deployment processes
Requirements:
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Strong programming skills and extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux and scripting skills (PHP, Shell, XML)
• Moderate database experience (Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, etc.)
• 2+ years development experience in designing and delivering complex, large-volume, diverse system applications
• Solid knowledge of development methodologies and project life cycles
