User Interface Developer

SW - Web Developer / CSS / HTML

The User Interface Engineer will work with product management and development to help design effective user interfaces for enterprise class web applications.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with product management to analyze business workflow, validate requirements, construct design prototypes and create a formal UI specification document
- Test components for usability employing standard usability testing techniques resulting in flowcharts, sitemaps and HTML prototypes
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that the creative solution is accurately translated to the final application
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of solid, relevant, on-the-job experience in a user experience role designing usable web applications
- Excellent graphic design skills along with the ability to conceptualize and design dynamic content and user interfaces
- Proficiency in developing icons, site maps, process flows, personas, and scenarios
- Proven ability to understand target users and design user experience appropriate for those users (e.g. layout, composition, color, readability, etc)
- Ability to evaluate web interface designs for usability
- Must understand design constraints such as browser capabilities, media types, platform differences, and operating systems
- Ability to deliver prototypes and wireframes using CSS, HTML and JavaScript
- Driven self-starter able to work individually and collaborate with other team members
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Experience performing within an Agile environment
- Experience planning and conducting usability tests & user research, summarizing results, and making recommendations
- Experience working on web-based systems, with a practical understanding of design issues for web-based interfaces
- Experience designing user interfaces for mobile applications (iPhone, Android and Blackberry) a plus
- Experience designing user interfaces for Microsoft Office Add-ins a plus
