Job Description:
Using established proposal guidelines and client solicitation requirements; the Desktop Publisher will customize baseline templates, format the proposal response and develop the response volumes' structure for Federal, State and Local and Health-related solicitation responses. S/he will assist graphics specialists with graphic development and edits as required. When assigned to a specific solicitation response project, the Desktop Publisher will report to the PRC response leadership team for that deal - typically a Volume Lead or the Proposal Manager. Organizationally, the Desktop Publisher reports to the PRC Graphics Lead as his/her direct supervisor. The Desktop Publisher will provide support throughout the entire solicitation cycle as directed by PRC leadership.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Reviewing, understanding and using solicitation-specific response formatting requirements for assigned deals
Customizing response templates based on the solicitation requirements, the style guide created by Graphics Project Manager and PRC proposal guidelines
Formatting proposal volumes prior to each color review cycle and for final print production
Assisting with graphics development and edits as required
Ensuring color review formatted documents contain the most current versions of all graphics prior to the review
Ensuring compliance with all solicitation formatting requirements for all submittal material - including paper copies, electronic copies supplied on media and electronic copies submitted by email.
Ensuring proposal artifacts are secured at all times
Less than 15% travel required
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited university
Minimum 6 months experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat)
Preferred Skills:
Minimum 1 year experience in a fast paced time-dependant environment
Professional Skill Requirements:
Time management and the ability to work to deadline
Attention to detail while working on multiple tasks within a given assignment
Communications skills and the ability to understand and follow verbal and written instruction
Understanding of organizational dynamics and chain of command
Less than 15% travel required
