Platform Engineer
We’re looking for a Platform Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with a client in Austin, TX to perform enterprise development in the cloud.
Responsibilities:
Package and automate the building of stacks and topologies for Enterprise Applications such as Hadoop, CloudFoundry, LAMP, Oracle, WebSphere, WSO2, TIBCO, DataSynapse.
Experience with orchestration products such as Chef, Puppet or CFengine.
Interface with and configure virtual load balancers and firewalls.
Adhere to package automation, automated build and test and development best practices.
Requirements:
5+ years BASH, PERL, C#, RUBY/RAILS
Build and Runtime automation experience using Chef, Puppet, or CFEngine etc
Experience building virtual machine images
2+ years of networking, routing, load-balancing, firewall knowledge and experience
Enterprise Build and Automation experience
2+ years VMware and virtualization experience
2+ years Powershell
5+ years packaging and image building experience
Experience working with Source Control (Subversion), IDE (Eclipse), and Bug Tracking Systems (JIRA)
BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
