Technical Writer - Contract
Technical Writer Contractor researches, plans, and writes product documentation to ensure a high standard of quality.
Job Requirements
Works with the Product Manager, Manager, Technical Publications, development team, and Marketing to define the documentation requirements for a product.
Develops publications plans and obtains plan approval from the Product Manager, Manager, Technical Publications, development team, and Marketing.
Monitors the bug tracking database to identify documentation problems or changes and trends in product usability issues. Ensures that those issues are resolved in the next release of the documentation.
TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION: Uses technical expertise and knowledge of audience to design appropriate documentation for new products.
INITIATIVE/PROBLEM RESOLUTION: Initiates and recommends creative ways to make the process of researching, organizing, writing, and maintaining technical documentation more efficient while working within department standards and guidelines.

Education, Experience and Special Skills
At least 4 years of directly related experience, Bachelors or advanced degree preferred.
Possesses exceptional writing skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate and work effectively across multiple departments.
Committed to teamwork and willing to accept responsibility.
Knowledge of Frame, Robohelp, and Information Mapping techniques preferred.
