As an Embedded Processor Applications Engineer for Altera’s embedded ARM solutions, you will be responsible for the following:
• Design examples development using Altera’s SoC FPGA highlighting product features
• Writing technical documentation such as user guides, tutorials, application notes for key features and applications of these products
• Supporting Regional Support Centers and Field Application Engineers on escalated customer issues for Altera’s SoC FPGA ARM dual-core Cortex-A9 OS software, low-level libraries, and debug solutions and features
• Developing internal technical training material
• Providing product planning and enhancement feedback to marketing and engineering
• Working with 3rd party ecosystem partners to debug escalated issues

Qualifications: 

The successful candidate’s minimum qualifications will include the following:
• B.S. Electrical or Computer Engineering equivalent with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience
• Strong embedded OS SW and firmware experience using ARM SoC processors
• Experience with SoC HW/SW debug and Trace /Software Debug tools
• Experience with Linux, VxWorks and other Embedded OSes
• Experience writing C/C++ for embedded systems
• Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
