WANTED: Lead PHP Developer!
Lead PHP Web Developer
Based in Houston, TX, Alert Logic is searching for an experienced Lead PHP Developer to work with cutting edge technologies in our fast paced, agile development environment. We are looking for an individual to assist our team in building highly scalable SaaS web based applications utilized by our network security and compliance customers.
If you are looking to get your hands dirty and be involved with some “meaty” development work, look no further. In this role, you will be involved in the ground-up development of a new product and entire suite of new features as we are looking to revamp and write a new User Interface with new features.
Responsibilities:
• Enhance and improve existing sites with a focus on user productivity, design, and responsiveness
• Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into UI prototypes,
designs and working web-based implementations
• Develop client side object oriented JavaScript application using HTML5 and CSS3 (yes, the good stuff that you’ve always wanted to work with)
We Require:
• 3+ years developing high volume/availability data-driven enterprise-level websites in PHP
• Experience with MVC frameworks (Struts, Zend, CakePHP, Symfony, Rails, Django, etc.)
• Background includes utilizing Web 2.0 technologies: AJAX, DHTML, JavaScript, XML and Web Services
• Experience with data interchange formats and technologies such as XML, JSON, SOAP, etc.

• …cut your teeth on JavaScript form validation years ago and haven’t looked back
• …love technology and are generally curious to read, discover and play with new gadgets.
• …truly comprehend the ins and outs of jQuery but you use it as a tool and not a crutch
• …have written your own JavaScript framework/library because it’s fun
• …have hard core JavaScript experience and that CSS and HTML are child’s play
• … thrive in a fast paced work environment and get a rush from releasing a new build
We Prefer:
• Solid working knowledge of object-oriented software design with 3+ years’ of experience in LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) web development
• Experience with various Content Management Systems (Drupal, Joomla, etc.)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
