Software Quality Assurance Engineer
Position: Software Quality Assurance Engineer
This position presents a great opportunity to build and lead the QA team for a rapidly growing startup. This role will need to develop expertise in all features/product areas and use that expertise to advocate on behalf of the customer. The ideal candidate must be able to first effectively determine whether or not changes to existing functionality are truly required, and also verify that these changes have been correctly deployed. Also, the ideal candidate will have some programming experience and be able to read code and write automated test scripts.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work with senior leadership to define and build 3Seventy’s QA process developing all testing-related documentation, including test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports assessing quality and associated risk
• Ensure test planning, execution, and reporting is effective, efficient, standardized, coordinated, and integrated
• Obtain understanding of systems architecture, and know where difference pieces of the software resides
• Perform simple updates to code using knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, & ASP.NET/C#
• Utilize internal defect tracking tool to log and track application defects and feature requests, verify that the corresponding defect fixes perform correctly, and regression test to ensure no other areas were inadvertently affected
• Proactively solve problems and suggest process improvements
• Exhibit initiative and remain flexible and responsive in a very dynamic environment
• Know and care about what the customer wants from our service
• Enjoy breaking things and discovering that really complicated bug
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 2+ years related experience in fast-paced software companies
• Understanding of .NET programming language constructs: ASP, C#
• Understanding of basic web technologies: HTML, CSS, & Javascript
• Strong understanding of SQL and ability to write queries
• Experience using Visual Studio or Microsoft Test Professional
• Excellent understanding of QA methodology using white box and black box testing
• Ability to document and track defects using issue tracking software
• Experience with functional testing of complex projects that require a deep understanding of the application logic and dependencies
• Experience with automated testing applications and techniques
• Experience with Coded UI automated testing for front-end functional testing
• Impeccable organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Track record of dependable job performance
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Experience using Team Foundation Server a big plus
• Experience using Bugzilla a plus
• Experience working with Agile and Scrum software engineering processes
