Our current opportunity is on our Austin, Texas-based Crimson team.
A division of The Advisory Board Company, Crimson is an Austin, Texas based software development company whose primary focus is combining business intelligence technologies, proven implementation strategies, and an agile startup mentality to deliver solutions for managing a health care system’s performance. Crimson’s enterprise web-application products are developed in partnership with health systems and physicians who are seeking to better align their operational & strategic goals with care quality and prevention. We provide comprehensive products for managing physician quality across a health system, improving patient care, clinical practice management, reducing patient population’s health risks, and driving physician referrals. Our products are currently deployed at more than 700 hospitals, engaging more than 200,000 physicians nationwide, and analyzing data for more than 35 million patients.
Job Responsibilities:
The role of the Associate Software Engineer will include the following responsibilities:
• Design and develop Crimson web applications and application components
• Conduct peer code reviews across the development team
• Work with geographically distributed development and delivery teams in an agile environment
• Develop and maintain automated tests, helping to improve software quality through automated and manual testing
• Work closely with product management to aid solution development and communicate requirements across all teams
Level I (Associate Software Engineer)
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of a server-side development language such as Java or C#
• Experience designing and developing database applications using SQL
• Ability to work with Software Engineers and Senior Software Engineers in requirements and design of product features
Ideal Qualifications:
• Experience with .NET and SQL Server
• Experience working with large volumes of data
• Software design experience using Object Oriented patterns
• Hands-on experience developing web applications using HTML/CSS/Javascript
• Experience in the healthcare industry
• Experience designing and developing database applications using SQL
• Ability to set individual priorities and solve complex issues
• Proven communication skills, especially in the context of working with geographically distributed teams
• Flexibility to work across a variety of software-related disciplines: solution design, agile development, unit testing, refactoring, and build/deployment automation
• Experience with having primary responsibility for delivering a significant project
Level II (Software Engineer)
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of professional work experience
• Knowledge of a server-side development language such as Java or C#
• Experience designing and developing database applications using SQL
• Ability to set individual priorities and solve complex issues
Ideal Qualifications:
• Experience with .NET and SQL Server
• Experience working with large volumes of data
• Software design experience using Object Oriented patterns
• Hands-on experience developing web applications using HTML/CSS/Javascript
• Experience in the healthcare industry
• Flexibility to work across a variety of software-related disciplines: solution design, agile development, unit testing, refactoring, and build/deployment automation
• Experience with having primary responsibility for delivering a significant project
