Software Developer in Test (Performance)
We are looking for a Software Developer in Test who will be performance and load testing software for large-scale cloud-based services.

As a Software Developer in Test at Rackspace you are given the challenge of building the performance and load testing infrastructure. For this role, you will be working side-by-side with other Performance Developers, testing web applications and ensuring our user interfaces live up to our Fanatical Support standards. Responsibilities:
Helps lead and drive performance testing strategy in the Cloud QE group
Design and implement a custom performance testing framework
Coding test automation software in Python
Designing and implementing testing infrastructure as well as test cases
Must Have:
4+years of experience in Software Development with a focus on Software Quality Assurance and Software Performance/Load Testing
2+ years of coding experience in an at least one of the following languages: Python, Ruby, Java, C#, C, or VB Script
Strong knowledge of performance automation and techniques
Experience in developing/using custom performance frameworks
Experience with more than one performance tool (JMeter, Grinder, LoadRunner, etc.)
Performance testing in a continuous integration environment
Ability to work independently, triage issues, and prioritize tasks
Strong team player
Strong understanding of Quality Processes
