Hanger, Inc., dedicated to serving the Orthotic and Prosthetic community, has an opening for a Sr. Systems Engineer to join our team and provide a high quality, secure and resilient platform to support business needs, with a primary focus on both the storage & Citrix XenApp environments.

The ideal candidate for the Sr. System Engineer role will be an individual who takes initiative, has a passion for IT, takes pride their work and enjoys a fast-paced organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage SAN & Citrix XenApp environments
  • Performs break-fix resolution & root-cause identification of incidents
  • Ensure production operation remains top priority with a goal of 99.99% uptime
  • Change management processes to make infrastructure changes to the environment
  • Assist with server management & enterprise backup environment
  • Participate in periodic on-call rotation
  • Assist with major projects and other duties as needed

Qualifications: 

ul>

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, related major or equivalent working experience
  • 3-5 years of citrix administration (CCA is a plus)
  • 3-5 years storage experience
  • 3-5 years of experience with virtualization (VMWARE or Hyper-V)
  • 5-10 years of experience supporting windows server 2003 or 2008
  • Expertise with storage management technologies and procedures
    • Fiber, iSCSI, CIFS/SMB, NFS, FCoE
    • Dell Compellent Series 40
    • NetApp 3040
    • Replication, snapshots, data migration
    • Understands capacity planning for SQL, server virtualization, and VDI environments
    • Data backup products (Symantec NetBackup a plus)
    • EMC Data Domain warm storage
  • Expertise with Citrx products
    • XenApp 5/6
    • Presentation Server 4.5
    • Citrix Gateway Servers
    • Citrix VDI
    • Netscaler appliance a plus
  • Supports the windows infrastructure across the data center and remote facilities
    • Window Server 2003/2008
    • Active Directory
    • Microsoft DNS/DHCP
    • VMware Virtualization
  • Soft skills:
