Lead Web Developer / Solutions Architect
Charity Dynamics is currently seeking a Solutions Architect to help us deliver peer-to-peer Facebook and Mobile Applications for fundraising and advocacy work.
Responsibilities:
Excel in a fast paced, Agile environment, bringing an exciting blend of strategy, technical skills, client knowledge, and hands on execution in the delivery of software products.
Evolve our delivery and support process and oversee the quality of our products and client experience, bringing a passion for social media and mobile technology.
Understand product design from conversations with developers and product managers and be able to provide insight and support into the product architecture, as well as help create the testing strategy for new releases.
Ability to provide technical leadership and point of escalation for support staff
5+ years of development experience in software development
Strong experience with Software/Product Lifecycle issues including accurate analysis of the risks and costs for new product features or defect fixes
Familiar with the architecture of 3 tier web applications and able to debug issues in this environment
Knowledgeable on the subject of test automation strategies and tools or programming languages for implementation
Ability to take product management specifications and translate them into acceptance criteria to drive development work, QA, and launch process
Interest and ability in leading initiatives to improve overall operations of client support and software delivery
Previous work with a geographically distributed development team
Work experience using at least one of the following: PHP, Java, Ruby, C#
Experience working with at least one of the following: html, JavaScript, CSS
Experience with relational databases (SQL), preferably MySQL
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of Facebook applications and mobile application technologies, including native applications and HTML5 applications
Active follower of mobile device technology and trends, experience implanting a iPhone or Android application a plus.
Experience with LAMP stack tools
Previous work with a cloud hosting environment such as Amazon or Rackspace is a plus
Interest in nonprofit organizations
