Position Overview & Responsibilities:
Authentic8 is seeking a Software Engineer who can build powerful web applications that communicate complex data in a simple manner. This individual will need to be highly skilled in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS with the ability to rapidly prototype, design, and implement new product features. Additionally, they will be responsible for creating innovative and clean user interfaces and participating in group design and problem solving discussions. He/She will be required to stay relevant regarding related technologies and suggest innovative solutions.
Position Requirements:
• Extensive experience building non-trivial web applications by hand
• Experience working with and creating AJAX applications
• Fluent in CSS, HTML, DHTML, and related technologies
• Experience working with RESTful Web Services
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
Highly Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with web transport protocols (HTTP/S, SSL)
• Experience testing web applications (unit tests, Selenium, etc.)
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (Ext JS, jQuery, GWT, YUI, etc)
• Experience with Web Application frameworks (Django, Rails, etc)
• Experience with Relational Databases (Postgres, MySQL, etc)
• Start-up experience
