SENIOR LEAD ORACLE DBA WITHIN INDUSTRY LEADER

•Provide technical leadership to a worldwide team of database administrators responsible for:
•Providing 24x7 support for Oracle databases and services.
•Monitoring the production environment and ensuring systems meet performance and availability service levels.
•Installing, maintaining and refreshing Oracle databases for development, test and production.
•Performing database patching, upgrades and migrations.
•Assisting with SQL statement tuning, indexing and partitioning to improve application performance.
•Maintaining database configurations in compliance with security policies and standards. Monitoring the environment for security breaches.
•Testing, implementing and maintaining backup and recovery procedures.
•Plan for database and storage growth.
•Maintain a current knowledge of database and Oracle technologies, methodologies and strategic directions. Counsel senior and product management on emerging database opportunities.
•Provide financial guidance on the acquisition of Oracle licenses, storage, third-party services, database tools, etc.
•Participate in the creation, documentation and maintenance of database-related policy and process.
•Work with product development to ensure resulting applications and their associated databases meet service level agreements.
•Provide technical mentorship to less senior DBAs.

Qualifications: 

-8 or more years’ experience with Oracle 10g/11g design, implementation, administration and development.
-Experience with both logical and physical RDBMS design.
-Experience performance tuning from both database design and SQL coding perspectives.
-Experience with RAC, physical and logical standby, and other high availability and disaster recovery technologies.
-Experience supporting mission-critical, transactional databases.
-Experience in RMAN backup and recovery.
-Skills in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, task delegation, mentorship, and oral and written communications.
-4 year college degree in computer science or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
-Experience working with remote teams is a plus.

C-H (negotiable) $50-$60; 110K-125K perm
