Sr. Windows Administrator
Responsibilities:
> Perform activities related to the operations and monitoring of the RenewDataâs internal and external web applications, critical business systems, and revenue generating systems
> Interact closely with RenewData teams for applications and systems support
> Investigate and troubleshoot issues
> Adhere to change management procedures, including review, coordination, implementation and follow-up procedures as they relate to Renew Data and industry standards
> Install, support, monitor, and maintain Microsoft products such as Windows Servers, Windows Desktop operating systems
> Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
> Administer MS Exchange, MS SQL, MS SharePoint, Windows Deployment Services, IIS, SCOM, SCCM, MS Project Server, Disk Management, Performance Monitoring, MS Office applications, and Openfire chat server
> Administer Symantec Mail Protection and Symantec EndPoint Protection
> Administer CommVault Windows iDA
> Administer and support cellular devices and BlackBerry Server (BES)
> MS Scripting languages such as batch, VBS, and PowerShell
Requirements:
Education
> 4 Year college degree or 8+ years relevant work experience in a Windows Server Administration role
Skills
> Possess detailed knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, Group Policies, WDS, Sharepoint and Exchange.
> Experience administering MS SQL Server
> Excellent verbal communication and written documentation
> Strong attention to detail
> Team oriented
> Demonstrated experience working in a highly visible, fast paced environment with minimal supervision and major responsibility
Desired Skills:
> MCSE/MCSA/MCITP certification preferred
> Experience working in a Data Center environment
> Experience with network management tools, Wireshark/tcpdump, Linux, Unix, and Windows
> Experience working with high availability configurations, such as clustering, and load balancing (NLB)
> Understanding of VMware ESX host management, including VSphere experience
> Experience with SAN technologies and systems including EMC/Hitachi
> Commvault, Project Server, SCOM, SCCM, Open Fire chat server, Symantec Mail Protection, Symantec EndPoint Protection, Cellular Device support, and batch/powershell are a plus.
> Ability to train and mentor other administrators to assist with day-to-day activities
> Ability to exercise independent judgment and work with minimal supervision
> Willing to take periodic 24x7 on call work assignments
