Position Summary:

This position will be responsible for securing web based strategic partnerships with corporations that have a large online presence in terms of selling and marketing to their customers and prospects within one or more of the following deregulated service territories: TX, NY, PA.

The position will be responsible for prospecting, pipeline management, acquisition cost modeling, negotiating contracts, securing actual agreements, and assisting in initial sales launch

This position reports to the Director of New Business Development.

Position Responsibilities:

Achieve new productive online partner goals and sales targets
Pursue new partnerships via networking and prospecting
Cold call on potential online partners, identify key decision makers, call on and build relationships with decision makers
Develop and communicate the value derived by each online partner partnering with Green Mountain Energy
Strategically target companies who also offer services that residential customers need such has gas suppliers, cable TV, satellite, wire line phone services, home security services, moving companies, etc.
Strategically target companies who have a green mission and/or environmental products or services
Partner with Marketing to offer new online partners customized special products, offers and bundles
Develop, build, maintain and report on online partner pipeline
Model financial viability of each opportunity in terms of planned cost per sale
Work with internal constituencies such as the Web Sales Channel Manager, Legal, and Marketing to secure contracts with targeted online partners
Act as a project manager by working with internal team members. Drive deliverables of the team to meet deadlines for contract execution & implementation.
Act as an account manager for newly executed online partner relationships
Conduct periodic review sessions with online partners to: review sales results versus forecast and to discuss needed improvements to products, bundles, and marketing. Sessions to include positive environmental impact data of online partner’s customer’s choosing GMEC’s pollution free electricity products

Qualifications: 

Required Skills and Experience:

BA or BS degree in Business or Marketing preferred
Self starter, ability to work independently
3-5 years of relevant B2B indirect sales experience
3+ years web and commerce experience
Experience managing and executing new initiatives and programs
Ability to drive and complete several simultaneous projects
Proven experience in negotiating and closing contracts
A successful track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
Requires proficiency in the Microsoft office suite of products, Including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Demonstrated success in managing relationships with external parties
Knowledge of renewable energy a plus
Must be able to travel to meet with prospects when needed. Travel may be up to 50%.
Strong written communication and verbal skills required. Experience in formal presentations to internal and external senior management preferred.
