Test Engineer
Our client is looking for a Test Engineer to evaluate quality as well as reliability to ensure adherence to requirements. This position will be an advocate for customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate needs to be able to understand company as well as business goals to gage testing strategies.
Responsibilities:
Develop an understanding of the usability and performance of network products under test
Learn new technologies, platforms and features
Create and perform test plans with automation when available
Work with network devices in the lab (setup, configure, maintain, etc.)
Execute manual feature and system testing on hardware and web applications
Tract defects including reports, issues and resolutions
Requirements:
5+ years of testing experience
Experience creating and running test plans for network devices or network management
Experience testing enterprise level IP networks
Experience testing in a Linux environment
Preferences:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Experience with network devices including configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and servers
Experience in web application quality assurance
Understanding of network security and or CCNA
Scripting experience (Perl, Expect, etc.)
