Senior technician to lead PC upgrade for Austin services firm and manage helpdesk support to existing user base. Contract position for 10-12 weeks. Position is being added on temporary basis to allow other support members time to focus on other upgrade areas currently in process. Individual will provide technical support to users of company's personal computers either by telephone or on-site relative to laptop/desktop hardware and software packages. May perform hardware diagnostics and coordinate repairs as necessry. Installs and tests personal computers, printers, and other peripheral.
significant experience with PC upgrade cycles, including installs and communication with user base. Must be able to grasp business issues quickly for support on existing machines and issues during the upgrade period.
