EDA S/W Development Engineer (Custom IC Design)
Take a leadership role in defining and developing next generation custom place and route
tools. Develop and maintain high performance routing solution (algorithms and software
implementation) for sub-45nm technology nodes. Develop solutions for constraint-based
full custom placement.
The ideal location is Austin, TX, but candidates in the Bay Area will also be considered.
MS/PhD in EE or CS. 5+ years of EDA tools development.
Previous experience and expertise in custom/digital placement and/or routing with a proven track record of delivering high quality software products. Demonstrated technical leadership skills, and ability to carry a development project from marketing specifications to fully tested software.
Strong skills in algorithm design, C++, object oriented software design, and exploiting multi-threading/processing for performance.
Familiarity with design rules and electrical constraints imposed by advanced (sub-45nm) process nodes.
Familiarity with OpenAccess and other industry standard databases and exchange formats.
Familiarity with custom circuit and layout design tools and methodologies.
