Ruby on Rails Developer
Description
Our client is seeking a talented, ambitious individual to fill the role of Ruby on Rail Software Developer. The Ruby on Rails Software Engineer will develop web services and applications for account management and community elements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop and maintain Ruby on Rails applications and tools
• Work with QA and Operations in a team environment
• Deploy applications in many environments
• Integrate with third party systems
REQUIREMENTS
• 4+ years of experience developing production Ruby applications
• In depth knowledge of RoR
• Experience writing SQL queries
• Experience with Webservices API’s
• Experience deploying apps in a production environment
• Experience developing high transaction applications
• Knowledge of Agile, TDD and BBD
PREFERENCES
• Experience with Java, Tomcat, JRuby, MS SQL Server or Perl
• Understanding of UNIX
