Liaison is seeking a fulltime, temporary copywriter / content specialist to support our Fortune 500 client in north Austin on their e-support and online content efforts. The assignment duration is undetermined but would last approximately 3-9 weeks working onsite. We're looking for that rare ability to write error-free technical content in an engaging, customer-friendly tone. Our client prefers that you have a high tech product background and/or have written for another large product company like Intel, HP, Microsoft, or similar company.
You create, edit and maintain globally consistent online content (e.g., product pages, SEO copy, support information and related content) for a variety of B2B and B2C web pages and product launches. You also edit, proofread and (as needed) rewrite large volumes of online content for global consistency, user-friendliness, Web-readiness, and adherence to our client’s internal style guide.
It's important that you have a firm grasp of copywriting, copy editing and content strategy for the Web, as well as a basic grasp of interface design, usability and related concepts. Extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software is helpful but not mandatory; however, the ability to communicate advanced technical concepts using plain, globally translatable, error-free language is essential.
Important note: This is not a Technical Writer position.
DETAILS: This is a temporary assignment working as a Liaison employee onsite at a local advertising agency, design firm, or in-house corporate creative/marketing team. This assignment might have a limited duration, be ongoing or indefinite, or lead to full-time employment directly with our client. Details will be provided during the interview process. Sorry, no relocation benefits are available for this position. COMPENSATION: Based on experience.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
- High-tech product background strongly recommended. Ideal candidate would have written for another product company like Intel, HP, or Microsoft;
- Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of five years’ professional experience writing for the Web and/or in an online capacity for a creative agency;
- Supplemental editorial (copyediting, proofreading or related discipline) and/or QA experience strongly recommended. (Error reduction is a significant part of this role).
HARD SKILLS:
- Experience with Microsoft Office, the Microsoft Windows operating system, and similar programs;
- Proven ability to write for global audiences using plain, clear language.
SOFT SKILLS:
- Ability to work effectively on complex, cross-functional teams;
- Capacity for dealing with ambiguity, change and organizational complexity.
