Y-FOCIS (Young Friends of Communities In Schools) is a group of young professionals, age 25-40, who support Communities In Schools and its mission to help kids stay in school and prepare for life.

What are the benefits of being part of Y-FOCIS?

* Engage with community and business leaders at Y-FOCIS events.
* Business and social networking opportunities with other young professionals.
* Service and volunteer projects at area schools, as well as opportunities to mentor/tutor CIS students.

Through an dynamic roster of events, including volunteer activities, special events, professional development and happy hours, Y-FOCIS members can gain new professional and personal contacts while supporting the children we serve.

Y-FOCIS will kick off 2008 with a new year's celebration: Resolve to Get Involved. This lively cocktail party will be the perfect way to introduce new friends to Communities In Schools and to reconnect to your Y-FOCIS peers. Enjoy complimentary cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and door prizes. This event is free to current Y-FOCIS members and to anyone else interested in learning more about this exciting leadership group.
