Materials Management / Production and Inventory Management / Supervision:
• Communicated supportability and identified and proactively prevented potential supply issues for four factories and two merge centers located in Austin, Nashville North Carolina and Reno for Dell.
• External 13-week substrate forecasts for two suppliers controlling levels of “Supplier Managed” and “Motorola Owned” Inventory for high dollar perishable solder paste supporting over 100K semiconductor products per week..
• Determined and developed the Master Schedule for production of 120K automotive control modules per month meeting customer requirements, finished goods inventory targets, & capacity constraints.
• Managed clean room garment inventory including cleanings, repairs and stocking to support over 500 people. Extended garment lease without a finance charge to save Motorola $56K annually.
• Thanked by Motorola Director of Purchasing for the Americas for contributing vital effort to the success of an eBreviate internet auction of clean room commodities saving the Sector over $1.4 million annually.
• Tech product evaluations Motorola “Sector Clean room Council” saved $1M in 1998 & $1.5M in 1999. Annualized savings $264K switching to “nit rile” gloves, $39K switching to better quality wiper also eliminated $20K/wk yield issue
• Supervised production planners/ material clerks / buyers / stockroom/stock handler personnel
• Chaired ITT preliminary review board (PMRB) reducing scrap by 83% in 1.5 years..
• Developed ITT Smart-ware II programs for many applications to enhance material control, (i.e. generating ICC Number
• Developed ITT Smart-ware II programs for many applications to enhance material control, (i.e. generating ICC Number Reports or Requests for Shippers from data loaded from a barcode reader).
• Setup/maintain TI shop floor control system, considering MRP setup effects. Established system engineers to track tooling data/artwork requests. Implemented prototype barcode system for warehouse transactions.
Management/Project, Financial and Technical Management:

• Program & Logistics Management of multi-year, multi-million dollar programs for development & installation of Command, Control & Communications Equipment on Command Post Aircraft.
• Combined 3 aircraft modifications into a one saving $.5 million in tech data cost & reducing aircraft downtime 95 days.
• Granted Top Secret security clearance honorably discharged at the rank of Captain.
• Authored System Program Office’s Management Summary Reports sent to Secretary of Defense and Joint Chiefs.
• Managed circuit board project accounts for Texas Instruments including budgeting, scheduling, cost analysis, cost center forecasting, shop loads, business projections, expediting and corrections to manufacturing problems.
• Wrote In-Process Procedure Plan for a Controlled Cryptographic Item and Industrial Preparedness Plan which netted $19K and $39K respectively for ITT from its customer.
• Managed ESD {Electrostatic Discharge} control program to protect Motorola BAT1 Product. Served over 12 years as president/Webmaster and member communications for the Texas Chapter of the ESD Association.
• Environmental monitoring of Motorola BAT1 Class 100 clean room to Federal Standard 209 requirements.
