door64 Contest #1 starts today: Win a pass to SXSW Interactive!
SXSW Interactive is right around the corner on March 7-11th here in Austin, Texas. The Interactive portion of the conference is not just about the web; it attracts technologists, entrepreneurs, and visionaries who can inspire and motivate you to take a chance on a new venture, or bolster your knowledge of emerging technologies.
And now you can go....for FREE! Over the next three weeks, I will be giving away one SXSW Interactive pass each week. At the beginning of each contest week, I will reset everyone's networking points to zero. Over the week span, whoever collects the most points by the end of each week wins! (of course, user "matt" is excluded - me!) All door64.com online members are eligible.
So here's the breakdown of how you accrue points by posting on door64:
Post your biography (if you haven't done so already): 5 points
Post a new calendar event: 7 points
Post a new skill set: 7 points
Post a new comment on an existing post: 8 points
Post a new forum topic or blog entry: 10 points

Contest #1: Feb 03, 2008 11pm thru Feb 10, 2008 10pm
Contest #2: Feb 10, 2008 11pm thru Feb 17, 2008 10pm
Contest #3: Feb 17, 2008 11pm thru Feb 24, 2008 10pm
(all times are in the Central timezone, of course.)
A few rules:
If you post obviously irrelevant contributions (or blatant self-promos / advertisements) just to bump up your points, as chief moderator I retain the right to delete them (and awarded points will be subtracted). Don't just post for the sake of posting. Don't post the same thing in the blog and forums. I'm sure all this won't happen, but I felt the need to state it. Also, you can win only once (i.e., you win one week, you are ineligible to win again).
